Craig Larsen, President
Craig Larsen has served in his current position, President of the Softwood Export Council, since the organization was founded in 1998.
Prior to the SEC Mr. Larsen was the Director of the International Marketing Department for the Western Wood Products Association. He returned to the WWPA after spending seven years in the forest products industry developing products and markets for engineered wood in the early 1990s. He was a member of the WWPA staff for 13 years from the mid-1970s through the 1980s. He spent a decade in the Association’s Field Services department, servicing Western lumber markets in the Pacific Northwest, Eastern seaboard and the Midwest. He transferred to WWPA’s Export Marketing department where he spent three years directing and expanding the programs.
Before joining WWPA, Mr. Larsen spent three years with a Pacific Northwest architectural and specialty wood products manufacturer. He is a native of Oregon, and a graduate of Oregon State University, where he specialized in marketing and engineering.
Natalie Macias, International Marketing Manager
Natalie Macias joined SEC as International Marketing Manager in January 2011.
As the secondary account manager for FAS and SEC finances, Natalie oversees project finances. Her responsibilities range from coordinating and managing international programs to handling member information and communications, to overseas softwood activity development. She is also responsible for conducting new market development research and developing marketing plans.
Ms. Macias is also involved in SEC’s cooperation activities with the Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Department of Agriculture. She is responsible for developing parts of the Unified Export Strategy Report for USDA. A native Oregonian, Ms. Macias holds Bachelor's degrees in Forest Products and Business, and received a Master's degree in Forest Products Marketing from Oregon State University. She speaks English and Spanish.
Ashlee Tibbets, International Marketing Manager
Ashlee joined SEC as an international marketing manager in February 2012.
Specializing in environmental policy and public relations, Ashlee graduated from Oregon State University with a Master's degree.
At SEC, Ashlee coordinates and manages international projects, member communication, and oversees softwood activity development as well as conducts foreign market research. She is responsible for the management of foreign and US overseas trade missions, seminars and trade show development, as well as literature development. Ashlee tends to the accounting activities as they relate to organizational members and international staff including reimbursements and requirements. She also maintains SEC member services and outreach via the SEC newsletter and writing and distributing market information.
