Large national housing companies such as Sekisui House, Daiwa House, Panahome, Sumitomo Forestry, Misawa Home and Mitsui Homes are active members of Judanren. [②] The Japan Importers’ Association (JLIA) consists of trading companies and distributors that are importing wood products and logs into Japan. This forum will be an opportunity to learn about the changing dynamics of the Japanese distribution and to exchange information on the economy and housing industry. [③] Dai Nihon Wood Preservers (DMB) is one of the largest dimension customers in Nagoya. In addition, they are one of the major pressure treaters in Japan and distribute lumber used in traditional post and beam housing. The company is affiliated with Zaiso Lumber, a company that is involved in pre-cutting lumber for traditional and 2x4 housing.
